The Anchor

A youth assessment center at Ignite Idaho.

What is a youth assessment center?

The Anchor helps young people ages 5 - 17 years of age, and families across the West Central Mountains, from Cambridge through Adams County, Valley County, and Garden Valley. We screen and assess to understand what a youth and family are facing, then connect them with individualized services and ongoing support. The goal is early help: keeping a young person from a first, or a further, step into the juvenile justice or child welfare system.

Anyone can refer a youth. Let the family know you'll be making a referral, fill out the form, and we'll reach out within 1-2 business days to identify what they need.

The Anchor serves young people ages 5 to 17.

How a referral works

Know a young person who needs support?

Referrals take a few minutes and require parental permission. We take it from there.

1

Refer

Anyone can refer a youth. Those referred to us are invited to take part in the program.

2

Screen & assess

Staff work with youth and families to identify areas of need.

3

Connect

We connect youth and families with the resources and support that fit their needs.

4

Ongoing support

Case management and follow-ups make sure those connections stay positive.

We'll reach out within 1-2 business days.
